Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as a true strategic partner with the business building relationships, engaging in the business strategy and mission to ensure human resource alignment matches the goals and outcomes.
  • Lead all aspects of HR operations with a strong focus on employee relations, recruiting, organizational skill development, and other administrative needs.
  • Provide expertise and oversight in the following areas: employee on-boarding, off-boarding, and engagement; career development, performance management, coaching, employee relations, learning and development, company compliance and recruiting.
  • Review and modify existing programs and policies to ensure alignment with the company’s culture and direction.
  • Manage engagement and execution of reward and performance cycle programs and incentives, lead business Performance Management processes ensuring alignment with business/individual results.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local legal requirements by staying well-informed on existing & upcoming legislation.
  • Act as a confidential point of contact for employees, managers and leadership in need of support on personal and professional matters and conduct investigations surrounding employee relations issues.
  • Provide coaching for managers/leaders on personnel issues.
  • Be a trusted strategic partner and advisor to the CEO, leadership team and management teams.

Education, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, Psychology or comparable combination of education and experience is required; HR certification (PHR / SPHR) a plus.
  • Minimum of 8-10+ years of progressive HR experience in a leadership role
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and experience dealing with and presenting to top management as part of the business team.
  • The ideal candidate will be a highly experienced professional in all aspects of human resource management who can effectively build and lead a proactive, well respected function that has positive impact on the organization. The candidate will be a strategic thinker with the ability to develop a clear vision and plan, but also willing to work in a hands-on manner.
  • Dedication to creating a leading employee culture on all fronts including compensation, incentives, benefits, employee experience, employee perks and support.
  • Depth of experience in most functional areas of Human Resources, including but not limited to: recruiting, compensation and benefits, compliance, employee relations, professional development, and diversity.
  • Successful history of leading the development and implementation of creative employee programs, which resulted in lower turnover rates, increased productivity, and positive morale.
  • Knowledge of recruitment strategies and state and federal employment laws pertaining to recruitment.
  • Demonstrates in-depth and current knowledge of local, state and federal laws pertaining to employment policies and practices
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication, and operational skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle interactions with discretion, tact and courtesy.
  • Must have strong analytical reasoning skills, be a strong independent thinker and decision maker and able to prioritize and organize work and work independently.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Microsoft Excel.
